MEET JASON
Jason Ward is an advertising creative director and commercial photographer, born in Appalachian Kentucky, and now residing in rural southeast Oklahoma. He earned a masters degree in advertising from VCU Brandcenter in 2002, but claims his true masters degrees are all life-earned in the arenas of photography, writing, product design, stone masonry, real estate development, and woodworking.
Jason is mostly known for his photography portfolio, receiving an IRMA (International Regional Media Association) award for outstanding photography in 2020 for his work from the Broken Bow Oklahoma area, where he also builds luxury Short Term Vacation Rental properties. His commercial photography has been seen by millions through regional and national advertising campaigns, on product packaging, and in fashion brands. His short term rentals are also highly regarded for their unique designs and amenities, being featured in national tourism campaigns and wedding publications.
With a career spanning 20+ years as a creative, entrepreneur and educator, Jason has helped many people find their own creative spark, igniting careers and influencing countless lives—both inside and outside of the classroom, through his unique journey and his ability to relate to people, all while maintaining his native Appalachian accent.

Although I wear many hats and work with many tools, I'm probably most comfortable when I have a camera in my hands. It's been my livelihood, passion and my art form now for over half my life and I've loved every minute of it.
